Fiery speaker, lifelong activist, and 2004 Green Party Presidential Candidate David Cobb is touring the country for Move to Amend, the national coalition dedicated to ending the influence of special interests in our democracy. Cobb tells the story of the American corporate myth and the Constitution as it pertains to corporate personhood and illegitimate but legal corporate rights, followed by a question and answer session with the audience.
This Sunday, Mr. Cobb brings his presentation to North Central College’s Goldspohn Hall, located at 31 N. Loomis St. in Naperville, at 7 PM in Room 20. Learn why you should vote YES to the following question that will be appearing on ballots all across the nation: “Should the United States Constitution be amended to clearly state that only individual persons, and not corporations, associations, or any other organizational entities, are entitled to the rights enumerated in the Constitution?”
In DuPage County, this question will be on the ballot in Lisle Township and the City of Warrenville. To learn more about local Move To Amend efforts, please click here.
This event is free and open to the public, and it is sponsored by the North Central College Political Science Department and DuPage Move to Amend.
