Rich and powerful special interests never rest and currently have the people seemingly falling backward on their heals, by buying out the Republican and Democratic Parties, but we, the people, also will never rest until democracy is brought to the United States.

The American Spring Begins in Chicago April 7th – We Can Change the World Again
On this day we will take a stand against government corruption, against the greed of Wall Street, and demand a true democracy! Stand with us to remind politicians that they were elected to represent us, the voters, not those who financed their elections.
We ask the whole country to join us in Chicago this spring to stand in solidarity as we say no to corporate greed and economic injustice. Stand with us, as we make it impossible to be ignored any longer.
Tell your family. Tell your friends. Tell the world.
#ChicagoSpring begins on #Apr7. But it doesn’t end there.
In anticipation of the American/Chicago Spring April 7, 2012, US National General Strike Mayday, May 1, 2012, and Chicago May 19, 2012 G8/NATO Summit Protest and in memory of the police riot that occurred at the 1968 Democratic Party National Convention protest in Chicago, here’s the song that rallied everyone to come to Chicago in 1968.
Chicago (We Can Change The World)
“Somehow people must be free I hope the day comes soon
Won’t you please come to chicago show your face
From the bottom of the ocean to the mountains of the moon
Won’t you please come to chicago no one else can take your place
We can change the world rearrange the world
It’s dying – if you believe in justice”, Graham Nash.
The Illinois Green Party Presidential Primary is now open until midnight on February 19th. Anyone is welcome to vote, assuming they are also willing to register themselves as a member of the Green Party. The ballot includes a registration form, which will also work to renew current members for the upcoming year.
There will be several caucuses held throughout the state if you would like to meet other members to discuss the candidates and where they stand on the issues that matter the most to you. Here is a list of times and places for Green Party Caucuses:
If you prefer to vote online, or if you’d just like a sneak peek at the ballot before you go to the caucus, you may do so here. For more information about the rules or the primary process, please contact Illinois Green Party Election Administrator, Patrick Kelly, at patrick.kelly@ilgp.org.

Through this special online broadcast, you will hear presidential candidate Jill Stein describe the Green New Deal that can reclaim our future and fulfill the promise of America. Lines will be open for your questions and ideas. We will meet at 7 PM at the DuPage County Green Party Office. Please come by and bring your friends too! Snacks and refreshments will be served. The address is 213 S. Wheaton Ave., Wheaton, IL. We will also be accepting donations for Jill Stein’s campaign. If you’d like to learn more about Dr. Stein, please visit www.jillstein.org.
