About Us

Social Justice in DuPage is a series of events meant to open a dialogue in the Western Suburbs on topics related to social justice, equality, ecological wisdom and peace.

Forums have been held on Civil Unions, Single Payer Health Care, Red Light Cameras and Poverty.

Beginning in Fall 2011, Social Justice in DuPage will comprise a series of events centered around Suburban Agriculture, including community gardens, edible forests, sustainable farming, beekeeping, backyard chickens, and legislative threats to farmers markets.

All events will be held at 213 S Wheaton Ave in Wheaton, a short walk from the Wheaton Metra stop.

  1. Interested in these issues. I founded and coordinate a parish/school garden with a focus upon outdoor education. We need to expand our mission and involve our greater community. I am also am interested in developing a plan to install community gardens within our village on unbuildable lots owned by the village. I hope to attend your future meetings.
